Senior Manager – Business Development, Aviation

Job Description

Duties include:
Assuming responsibility for aviation new business targets
Working with the Head of Business Development and Aviation Director to create, implement and manage an appropriate strategy to achieve targets and continually review, adapt and improve the strategy
Implementing the agreed intermediary visit/calling programme within the aviation strategy and managing this accordingly
Working closely with various new business take-on teams to ensure that all aviation proposals issued are fit for purpose
Utilising own existing contact base and the wider group contact base to generate new revenues
Assisting with the development of new aviation products and services
Raising awareness of the brand within the global markets as well as identifying and developing new markets for aviation services within the group
Travelling frequently to work in other offices in different countries and jurisdictions, as well as attending various industry events, acting as lead where appropriate

Skills and experience required:
A minimum of 5 years’ industry relevant experience
Extensive working knowledge of trust and corporate services
A network of contacts relevant to the role
Previous business development experience

Desirable experience and qualifications
An understanding of EU VAT for aircraft
An understanding of the various aircraft registries available
Relevant industry qualifications (e.g. STEP, ICSA, Aircraft brokerage qualifications)
