Regulatory Manager

Job Description

Duties include:
Responsible for ensuring all Conduct and Regulatory compliance requirements are documented, understood and within risk appetite. Must have a working knowledge of AML regulations
Manages the identification of regulatory developments, understands their impact on the business and recommends controls and actions for their implementation. Responding to regulatory consultations
Manages the relationship between compliance and various business units. Identifies emerging issues and develops solutions whilst remaining compliant and within risk appetite
Proactively supports the Head of Risk and Compliance in the development of strong conduct and regulatory relationships with Regional Branch Managers and Regional Compliance Teams, deputising where required
Responsible for providing day-day advice on conduct and regulatory matters raised by the business
Responsible for ensuring all compliance logs, policies and procedures are maintained, revised and current
Responsible for the production of conduct and regulatory MI for various management and Board committees
Manages conduct and regulatory training programme, identifying and developing material as required

Skills and experience required:
A professional qualification is desirable or be working towards one
At least two years experience in a similar role
Strong business understanding and knowledge of the offshore Life Industry
Technical expertise in the understanding and interpretation of IoM regulatory requirements and a working knowledge of Hong Kong ILAS Code, Monetary Authority of Singapore Rules and UAE Insurance Authority requirements
Experience of dealing with regulators
Strong oral and written communication skills
