Operations Risk Manager

Job Description

Duties include:
Work closely with the IOM Operations Director and Client Director to help deliver consistent and high performing operations activity
Provide thought leadership in design thinking and organisational transformation strategy
Provide input to, and help drive, IOM Operations strategy generating innovative and valuable strategic content
Identify strategic needs and produce research-based business recommendations to support the requirements of key stakeholders
Manage complex operational projects and change initiatives, including engaging key executives and stakeholders, to deliver meaningful alignment and organisational transformation in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
Proactively determine and manage stakeholder requirements and expectations using influencing and negotiation skills when required
Collaborate effectively with colleagues as necessary to influence the objectives and specifications of operational and change-related projects
Create and maintain detailed project plans, ensuring that appropriate consideration is given to timing, resource and funding
Oversee the controls necessary to ensure adherence to project schedules and agreed change management principles
Lead IOM operational project teams and related subject matter experts, ensuring that operational and change-related projects are completed in line with set deliverables
Ensure that all projects adhere to Group standards and that progress is recorded accurately and reported clearly to stakeholders

Skills and experience required:
Ideally have a minimum of five years relevant experience in the offshore industry at technical management level
Professional outlook and manner with the ability to relate effectively to stakeholders at all levels in the business and to manage stakeholder requirements effectively and on a timely basis
Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to multi-task
A sound knowledge of financial management processes with experience of budget management and financial controls
Self-motivation and proactivity coupled with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to maintain and develop strong stakeholder relationships
Thorough knowledge and understanding project and change management methodologies
Strong technical compliance and risk knowledge and experience of having applied this knowledge in a fast moving and demanding environment
