Mobile Support Technician

Job Description

Duties include:
Undertake tasks on new and emerging technology, quickly absorbing and applying the knowledge learnt
Respond to network incidence and customer reported faults, fixing them where possible and/or working with others to fix them within the agreed timeframes
Undertake routine provisioning maintenance activities and monitor the operational performance of all Core network equipment
Undertake project and development work under the guidance of an experienced network specialist
Support and assist account managers with technical related issues
Continually deliver excellent verbal and written communications skills with both internal and external customers
Be flexible in your approach to work, from time to time there will be a requirement to work unsociable hours and deal with unexpected major service issues
Complete to a high standard, written reports and technical documentation in relation to the role
Provide technical support and advice to other customer facing personal
Maintain excellent working relationships with client’s technical support teams, provide constructive feedback and support to ensure they are best equipped to serve their customers
Maintain good technical working relationships with key suppliers and technology partners
Continually develop and support the Network infrastructure related to the delivery of service to ensure that maximum benefit is attained
Remains current on technologies, technology and best practices
Work out of hours as required to resolve urgent service issues or when the impact on customer services prevents day time work

Skills and experience required:
At least 5 GSCE (or equivalent), including Maths and English
Experience in a customer facing role where you have learnt how to deliver first-class customer service
A strong desire to learn from those around you
A real team ethos, with exceptional interpersonal skills
Great communication skills and the ability to co-ordinate with others
Methodical thinker
High attention to detail
Knowledge of MS applications
An ability to absorb complex information
