Manager/Senior Manager – Mergers & Acquisitions

Job Description

Duties include:
Research and analysis of the market to devise appropriate Group strategies and management of target origination
Pitch planning and preparation
Screening potential acquisition targets
Supporting and in some cases leading deal negotiations with valuation and financial modelling, attending meetings with potential targets
Project managing the due diligence process, coordinating various due diligence teams and bringing these together for internal reporting
Working with legal advisors to ensure the legal document reflects the agreed deal
Post-acquisition, managing the various work streams to ensure adherence to the principles of the deal and delivery of a successful integration
Project management and delivery, including facilitating meetings, preparing the project timetable, plans, status reports, resource plans, issues, risks, decisions and budget
Ensure compliance with company standards, policies and procedures

Skills and experience required:
Strong background in finance and accounting and a natural affinity for understanding commercial transactions. Ideally the candidate will hold a degree in Law, Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
A minimum of 3 years’ previous work experience in a relevant role
Excellent project management and communication skills, including facilitating meetings, preparing the project timetable, plans, status reports, resource plans, determining issues, risks, decisions and budget

Desirable:
Proficiency in financial modelling and analyses
Good understanding of due diligence, a familiarity with fundamental company acquisitions strategies and knowledge of merger processes
