IT Desktop Support

Job Description

Duties include:
· Providing first line support to all staff
· Supporting the VMWare virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and mobile devices
· Maintain the operating system (Windows) and application software
· Research, test and implement new software
· Provide appropriate training and guidance to staff
· Maintain software licensing, updates and upgrades
· Maintain peripherals and consumables
· System checks, monitoring and reporting on the desktop services
· Liaise with hardware and software suppliers

Skills and experience required:
· Excellent customer service in face-to-face, telephone or electronic interaction with clients
· Good language and communications skills
· Ability to learn new computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
· Good understanding of computer support and problem-solving
· Knowledge of Windows 10, Microsoft Office including O365 and Exchange email
· Ability to work individually and as part of a team when required
· Ability to use an IT service desk system and to prioritise tasks
