Hosting & Managed Services Support Engineer

Job Description

The role will provide both individual and team based proactive support for hosting and managed services and data centre customers through the delivery of effective, timely and high quality end-to-end service and support in respect of Data Centre platforms and Managed Service infrastructure. Working across all teams, you will have responsibility to ensure the value received by customers from products, solutions and services meet or exceed customer expectations. Providing technical capability to the team and adding value to help create a highly efficient, engaged, committed and motivated function.

Skills and experience required:
• Degree in Computing or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a lead or senior infrastructure engineer
• Proven ability to research and develop innovative solutions
• Extensive experience in a service orientated IT support role
• Cisco accreditation
• Valid professional level vendor certifications, including but not limited to HP, EMC, Cisco, VMware, Microsoft, Linux and Citrix
• Professional level Cisco certification (CCNP/CCDP/CCDP)
• Professional level VMware certification (VCP)
• Professional level Microsoft certification (MCSE)
• Professional level Linux certification (RHCE)
• CISSP certification
• EC-Council certification (CEH/ECSA)
• Knowledge of security technologies and solutions, including but not limited to PKI, IPS/IDS/HIDS, SIEM and FIM
• Knowledge of virtual desktop solutions
• Knowledge of enterprise messaging solutions
• Experience of working within an ITIL framework
• Experience with project management frameworks
• PCI DSS environments
• Mission critical platforms and highest standards of confidentiality, integrity and availability
• Laas, PaaS, SaaS, DaaS platforms and technologies
