Job Description

A top brand Isle of Man eGaming licence holder with a rich history and excellent infrastructure is seeking a Head of Legal to join their team.

Duties include:
Negotiating software licensing agreements with prospective suppliers and reviewing variations to new agreements for renewals or addition of other product lines
Negotiating all consultancy, affiliate, technical, customer support contracts for the Group
Reviewing and updating internal template agreements to streamline process for contract negotiation and execution in a timely fashion
Advising on and managing consumer complaint escalations and potential litigation
Drafting board minutes and organising board meetings for the ratification of key business decisions
Providing internal support and case co-ordination in the event of disputes and litigation
Researching gaming legislation and regulation in various jurisdictions around the world and making appropriate recommendations to the Compliance department and senior management
Advising on litigation risk and exposure based on consumer and supplier relationships
Providing internal staff training and support
Managing the external legal budget and cost of the company
Reporting to the CFO, part of the extended management team
Business partner to the various commercial teams in the business, marketing, IT, operations and c-level
Maintaining relationships with external legal counsel, advisors and board members

Skills and experience required:
Relevant UK/Gibraltar legal qualification
Relevant industry experience (eGaming, ePayments, Technology)
A pro-active business partner mentality, adding value to areas where support is needed and a good business risk awareness, not an ‘in house legal desk’ only
A positive commercial approach to problem solving
Excellent communication skills, verbally and written
