Our Client is seeking a highly skilled professional cook to oversee the operations of their restaurant/café/coffeeshop. You will be responsible for the food that comes out of the kitchen, from conception to execution.
Effective management and the ability to work closely with other cooks
Helping others to reach their potential and creatively developing seasonal menus celebrating the best of local produce
Building relationships with customers
Maintaining efficient stock levels and a tidy well managed kitchen
Assist with the staffing of the kitchen, developing menu offerings, forecasting supply needs and estimating costs
Expected to make sure the restaurant meets all regulations, including sanitary and safety guidelines
Leading in the creation of recipes and the preparation of advanced items
Assigning less complicated tasks to sous chefs and cooks
Front-of-house and operational issues, including accounting and scheduling
A strong hospitality education and head chef experience is essential.
