Finance Fund Analyst

Job Description

Duties include:
Provide support to the Fund Accountant in delivering the Fund Accounts which need to be prepared and audited on an annual basis in accordance with agreed Auditor timelines
Responsibility for preparation of less complex accounts (from within the funds clients invest in)
Assist the Fund accountant with production of more complex accounts
Responsible for day to day monitoring of the funds; interrogating data; reconciling discrepancies; dealing efficiently and effectively with queries and enquiries, by providing factual and current information and ensuring timely responses
Extract specific MI to support financial decisions and to provide to the Fund Accountant to interrogate further

Skills and experience required:
Part qualified accountant (ACCA) or holds their AAT and is registered/studying for ACCA. You will be required to obtain your full ACCA qualification within 4 years of commencement in post
5 GCSE’s or equivalent at Grades A-C including English and Maths
Have advanced Excel skills and experience of Access with an ability to mine and extract data sets and adapt to alternate software. You will also be required to manipulate data sets
Intermediate levels skills in all other Microsoft applications
Highly analytical with strong financial and business acumen
Previous experience within Finance sector is essential, ideally within a fund accounting environment
