Finance Fund Accountant

Job Description

Duties include:
Responsible for overseeing and producing Fund Accounts annually for each of the funds that clients currently invest in
Responsible for monitoring transactions within the funds and ensuring that these are accurately reflected within the general ledger
Responding to and answering Auditor queries raised in relation to the funds accounts

Skills and experience required:
Recently qualified (ACCA). However candidates who have obtained their Diploma in Accounting and Business having completed 9 compulsory modules/exams (out of a possible 14 total units) will also be considered. You will be required to complete your additional 5 professional modules within 2 years of obtaining the post (mandatory)
5 GCSE’s or equivalent at grades A-C (including English and Maths)
Advanced Excel skills and ability as well as intermediate level capability in all other Microsoft applications
An experienced user of Access with an ability to mine and extract data sets which they should be able to manipulate and adapt to suit alternative software
Hold strong Planning and Priority Setting skills
Be highly analytical with strong financial and business acumen
Able to build and manage effective relationships within the business and with external partners
Previous experience within Finance sector is essential, ideally within a fund accounting environment
Previous people management experience and have the ability to coach and mentor
