Corporate Actions Officer

Job Description

Duties include:
Receive and review notifications of corporate events
Where an election is required, organise distribution to customers, setting deadlines and communicating these clearly
Monitor the corporate actions diary and email inbox, ensuring elections are returned by the deadline
Deal with queries from customers and/or their advisors
Input events to the Investment Administration systems
Review updates on suspended funds, and arranging for policy holders to receive the latest information
Provide updates to management on events or notifications
Set up Assets on the Investment Administration systems
Process cash income distributions when advice received from the Custodian
Assist with dealing and valuation of internal funds

Skills and experience required:
Understanding of Investments and portfolio administration
Can work quickly and accurately to deadlines
Good oral and written communication skills
Ability to work in an independent manner
Good use of judgement on matters appropriate for escalation
Ability to process work in an organised manner, prioritising when necessary

Desirable:
Experience of processing corporate actions, preferably in a Life Insurance Company
Experience of working in an investment administration team
