Client Bookkeeper

Job Description

Duties include:
Preparing client VAT returns
VAT preparation and reconciliation
Monitor and respond to client queries via the VAT mailbox
Assist with client professional clearance
Managing own work

Skills and experience required:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate with Clients in writing and over the telephone
Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
Computer literacy essential
Flexible and adaptable approach to work
Experience of Just Accounts software and Excel desirable
Ability to organise own work and integrate with a small team
Dealing with HMRC and Companies House
Basic understanding of UK company law
Understanding of VAT
An understanding of double entry book-keeping
Managing incoming post in relation to client companies
Communicating with internal departments
