Chief Financial Officer

Job Description

Duties include:
Ownership of P&L for the business including monthly and annual accounts, tax audit, budget setting and long term financial strategy
Working with the CEO and participating in development of new business, specifically the drafting of prospective project budgets, and determining cost effectiveness of prospective investment opportunities
Assessing the benefits of all prospective contracts and advising the Executive Team on design and implementation matters relating to Finance
Leading the financial development of the business
Supporting the development and launch of profitable new business products and services through the application of financial skill and knowledge to drive margin and profitable growth
Qualifying new opportunities and generating business cases for potential new business, mergers and acquisitions
Identifying, establishing and developing new relationships and ventures
Owning, monitoring and reporting to the plc Board against business targets and objectives
Meet and exceed annual P&L targets for the Business
Implement and evolve robust reporting of business performance across the organisation
Monitor and track industry trends and developments to support the delivery of strategic plans
Defend and grow on and off island revenues and capabilities
Full responsibility for customer accounts, dealing with all aspects of customer billing and revenue assurance and debtor management
Full responsibility for external supplier contract management
Play a key role in any potential new acquisition opportunities, utilising knowledge and expertise to contribute to the opportunity
Develop an effective interworking between all areas of the business
Work closely with relevant Board members and all relevant cross functional department teams to lead the production of sound business plans for new initiatives and to help ensure the seamless interface of new solutions with the core business
Comply with all relevant regulations and work effectively with regulators
Manage and develop effective relationships with strategic customers, suppliers, advisors, partners, third parties, and internal customers
Manage the development of Finance team’s capabilities and ensure that key skills and expertise are transferred to relevant personnel in line with business plans and developments
Attend relevant Board and Subcommittee meetings, as well as Investor and stakeholder meetings
Monitor banking activities of the organisation and manage the Bank relationships to ensure compliance with covenant requirements
Ensure adequate cash flow to meet the organisation’s needs
Oversee the production of monthly reports including reconciliations with funders and pension plan requirements, as well as financial statements and cash flow projections for use by Senior management and Board of Directors
Oversee the maintenance of the inventory of all fixed assets

Skills and experience required:
A strong track record of successful delivery in developing and growing a business
First class people management skills; strong communication and presentation skills and excellent written, verbal and numerical ability
Quoted Plc experience, with the gravitas and knowledge to command Shareholder, Analyst and Advisors trust, together with confidence and belief in their ability to create shareholder value

Someone with a strong customer orientation/focus/empathy, combined with the ability to balance the need to generate significant cash flows
