Chief Commercial Officer

Job Description

Our Client is seeking a Chief Commercial Officer to assist with managing the growth of a highly dynamic expanding global business.

The role will involve a broad range of activities and duties will include:
A review of our client’s current Business Development strategy (including a review of current jurisdictional coverage) and critically assessing its effectiveness
The development and execution of strategy in line with recommendations agreed by the Board, by planning, monitoring, managing and reporting as appropriate
Full operational control and management of the Business Development and Corporate Communications teams globally
Driving top lines sales to achieve Group growth targets and maintaining through competitive market analysis, a current appreciation of market trends to optimise revenues, margins and market share is essential
Assuming responsibility for coordinating research into new territories and delivering new business propositions and supporting senior staff “pitching” for new business
Assuming responsibility for the Group public profile incorporating all Corporate Communications, PR and web-based activity will also be part of the role

Essential skills and experience required:
You will already be a commercially astute Director who has strong demonstrable experience of undertaking such responsibilities
Must have experience of working in a global business at that level and you must also be able to travel internationally on a monthly basis and regularly at short notice as required
Sound experience of the professional services industry and an understanding of the risk management framework applicable Extensive experience in leading profitable sales and corporate communications strategies globally
A proven ability and track record of client acquisition and cross-selling to existing clients across substantial international markets
Have an understanding of a variety of distribution channels such as intermediary and experience of bringing together different offers to deliver combined solution for customers
Commercial negotiation skills including knowledge of pricing policy and experience of working in a private equity backed venture are also essential
You must have the gravitas and authority to establish a high level of credibility externally and internally and must have cultural awareness and empathy
