Business Risk Manager

Job Description

Duties include:
Manage the team on a day-to-day basis to include all team members to have a training and development plan; have a succession plan/gap analysis in place; allocation of work
Maintain and manage the Isle of Man Group’s System of Governance (SOG)
Perform daily screening through Screening Deployed
Foster good working relations with other departments, especially the operational areas, and other key stakeholders
Ensure the operational areas receive the appropriate training to meet their regulatory obligations (liaising with Learning & Development)
Support the efforts of the Isle of Man Group in maintaining a secure environment for the protection of client data in accordance with the Information Security Management System
Providing support to the Compliance Officer, Risk Officer and Company Secretary
Work closely with the above company officers to ensure all regulatory reporting, monitoring and legal obligations are met at all times
Oversee and perform monitoring exercises in conjunction with the Compliance Officer and the Risk Officer where appropriate

Skills and experience required:
Previous experience working in a Compliance department
A proven track record in managing and developing a team of high achievers
Good planning and organisational skills
Ability to work within a team or on own initiative
Can maintain high level of accuracy and still work within agreed service standards
Ability to meet individual targets and goals with accurate results
Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
Ability to build and maintain good professional working relationships
Clear understanding of customer service
Commitment to providing outstanding customer service
Have a very good understanding of the business’ product range, charging structures and procedures; AML/CFT, Sanctions and PEP requirements; IOMFSA and FSC requirements; the offshore bond market
5 x GCSE (or equivalent) grade C or above, including English and Maths
