Accounts Assistant

Job Description

Duties include:
Daily banking reconciliations and posting of journals
Verification of supporting documentation to validate invoices due for payment
Handling phone calls from customers/suppliers
Monitoring of customer invoices
Setting up supplier payment runs
Assist with cash flow projections
Quarterly audits and completion of VAT returns
Assistance with tax returns
Ensure the on-going improvement of processes and procedures
Work closely with the management team to allow for monthly reporting
Monthly cash flow and turnover forecast
Assisting account reconciliations and supporting the preparation and reporting of each company
Assisting the property and construction teams with budget – project forecasts

Skills and experience required:
Must have 3 years’ experience working in a finance based role
Have excellent Excel and Word skills
Be training towards an ACCA or equivalent qualification
Knowledge of VT accounting software would also be beneficial
