Having moved to the Island from the UK, I first joined Hamblin in 2005 as an Executive Recruitment Consultant. After a short time out of the business to have my son Alex, I re-joined Hamblin at a challenging time with a remit to further develop Hamblin’s comprehensive portfolio of people related services – Executive & Permanent Recruitment, eGaming Recruitment, Temporary Staffing, HR Consultancy and Training & Development. I was then promoted to Managing Director in 2009 and given the unique opportunity to purchase the company.
Branching out into the Northern Corridor and London, I remain responsible for the overall management and further development of Hamblin, maintaining and building upon the Group’s position as the Island’s largest and most prestigious recruitment and employment business.
With over twenty five years recruitment industry experience, initially gained in the UK with major names such as ADECCO, Select Appointments in London and several years offshore recruitment experience there’s not much I haven’t encountered. Recruitment is an ever changing, diverse and challenging industry and I relish learning something new each day.

Recruitment Consultant, Temporary Division
Having commenced my career with Hamblin in 2003 in a variety of positions, I have been employed as a Recruitment Consultant within the Temporary Division for 9 years. This is a fast paced, ever changing and rewarding position. I have a genuine passion for assisting candidates, finding the right position to meet their individual needs, which can potentially lead to permanent employment and sourcing candidates through various means to client specifications.
I pride myself on my thorough and detailed approach, providing advice and guidance with key focus on my natural flair for customer service and relationship building.
Reception, Administration and Candidate Management
Having spent 18 years in the finance industry, I started working with Hamblin in 2006. I am a highly organised and experienced Administrator who on a daily basis deals with a variety of tasks involved in reception duties, administration and candidate management. I am the initial point of contact for clients and candidates alike, ensuring that they receive a first class experience when contacting Hamblin.

Manager, Temporary Division
From Candidate to Consultant I’ve come full circle here at Hamblin! Initially registering as a candidate, I was given a first class service and quickly placed within a large retail bank as a contractor.
When the fixed term appointment ended there was only one agency I would have ever chosen to work with again, and after re-registering with Hamblin I was presented with the opportunity to become a trainee Recruitment Consultant. I flourished within this role and once I had secured my REC Certificate in Recruitment Practice I was promoted to the position of Temporary Manager, overseeing the Contract, Interim and Temporary side of the business, ensuring the requirements of both clients and candidates are met.

I am in my 11th year with Hamblin Employment Group where I have specialised in the recruitment of skilled permanent staff across a diverse range of sectors.
The majority of my early years involved recruiting across accountancy, banking and finance but we are now extremely well positioned in the growth sectors of eGaming and ICT.
I like to understand what makes a candidate tick and what they want to achieve out of their next career move. It’s this bespoke approach that I feel adds value to someone’s job search, and I’ve been fortunate to positively impact on the growth and progression of both individuals and businesses based here on the Isle of Man.
Accounts and Payroll Manager
I was approached by Hamblin in 1999 to work as their Accounts/Payroll Manager after undertaking temporary contract work as a Hamblin candidate. I jumped at the chance and have never regretted it. Hamblin have found many of their staff this way and if you’re lucky we might even scout you out at your registration appointment.
My years of accounting experience and organisational skills along with my knowledge of Hamblin has got me the nickname ‘The Oracle’.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, friends and roaming the Manx Countryside in my vintage VW campervan.
Rebecca Roberts MIRP CertRP
After commencing a career in recruitment in 2014, I was fortunate enough to obtain a role at Hamblin in 2016. I started my career here as the Recruitment Resourcer and have since moved on to a Consultant role. I love my role here, sourcing exceptional talent for the Island’s premier recruitment agency on a daily basis.
I am passionate about meeting candidates and providing them with a consultative experience where I truly understand their skills, experience, motivations and what they are looking for moving forward. I love the fast-paced industry we work in and having to think outside the box to meet candidate and client requests – relationship management is a key part of my role and I thrive on building strong relationships with candidates and clients alike.
I joined Hamblin as Accounts Administrator in May 2018, bringing to the company many years of accounting experience from within the recruitment industry.
Following qualification as a Chartered Accountant in the UK I worked in a variety of managerial positions, firstly within the leisure industry and then for a recently privatised water company, prior to starting my family, at which point my husband’s work took precedence and we travelled as a family to far-flung places including Pakistan and the Caribbean as he furthered his career. As our children got older, I settled down with them in the UK and was fortunate to be appointed Accounts Manager for a niche recruitment consultancy in the field of science and technology.
Based in the Isle of Man for the last 3 years, I now relish the opportunity to be part of Hamblin’s support team, putting my experience and skills to use to provide a quality service both internally and to our clients.

Marketing and Resourcing Coordinator
I commenced my role as Hamblin Employment Group’s Marketing and Resourcing Coordinator in April 2017 bringing with me a wealth of strong administrational skills gained predominately from the international shipping industry which shares many similarities with the dynamic, ever changing and fast paced world of recruitment.
My role here is diverse and challenging and no two days are ever the same. I love the fact my role is so versatile, one day I might be pulling together a mass mail merge, along with answering emails, uploading CVs to various company recruitment portals or letting my creativity flow by creating catchy slogans and images for our Facebook and Instagram pages.
Being both an employee and former candidate I can honestly say Hamblin care passionately about their clients and candidates alike and passion is at the heart of everything we do here.
